Banking

Banks are readily available throughout BSD, Jakarta and Indonesia, lots of branches and are located along most major roads and malls. Banks are well serviced by ATMS located at most malls.

  

Staff salaries are paid into Sinarmas Bank which has 2 branches in BSD, one very close to SWA. There is an ATM at SWA. In Jakarta Sinarmas bank is located at Plaza BII on Jalan Thamrin. Sinarmas Bank does not have a wide network of branches and ATMs in Jakarta. 

It is worth considering having a second account with a major bank such as BCA, BII, HSBC, ANZ which all offer very comprehensive banking services, wide ATM networks and credit card facilities. 

ATMs are useful for paying credit cards, bills, airline tickets and a wide range of other services. It is recommended to have a local credit card (rupiah) with one of the major banks.

Banking is a personal business but it is worth considering the access to branches in the BSD area, so that you can get to the bank at lunch time a necessary.

ANZ is located in the same building as JWA.

3. BII - In Ruko near MacDonalds BSD (Opposite Dunkin Donuts)
